Residential Interiors
Painting the interior of a home is a process that involves careful planning, preparation, and attention to detail to achieve a flawless and long-lasting finish. Before any paint touches the walls, we take the time to meet with you, walk through the property and ask questions to fully understand your needs. When it’s time to begin, we prepare the area that is being painted. This includes covering all furniture, floors, and delicate surfaces with drop cloths, plastic sheeting, and tape to protect them from dust and paint splatters. Protecting your home and your belongings is always at the front of our mind. Next, all surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and inspected for imperfections such as nail holes, cracks, or peeling paint. These imperfections are patched, filled, and sanded smooth to create a uniform surface. Depending on the condition of the walls and the type of paint being applied, a primer may be used to ensure proper adhesion and to create a consistent base for the topcoat. This level of preparation ensures that the finished product will be even, smooth, and free from blemishes.
Once the surfaces are prepped, we begin to apply the color that you have chosen. Our professionally licensed and insured painters typically start by cutting in the edges around the ceilings, baseboards, and trim to create clean, defined lines. Next, they use high-quality rollers or in some cases a sprayer to cover the broad wall surfaces, ensuring even coverage without streaks or lap marks. The paint is applied in multiple coats if necessary, allowing for adequate drying time between layers to achieve the desired opacity and finish. Attention is paid to details like avoiding drips and blending the edges to ensure a seamless look. After the walls are complete, the trim, doors, and other features if applicable are carefully painted with cabinet grade paint to create a crisp look, and a lasting appearance. The job isn’t finished until a final inspection is conducted by the project manager first and then with you the homeowner. Your project is not finished until you, the customer, are 100% satisfied. Touch-ups are made, and all protective coverings are removed, leaving the space transformed and ready for your enjoyment.
